Thanks for being here today as we begin our new series called I LOVE MY CHURCH. It’s been a tough year for many of us in many different ways. It can’t be a tough year for us and not be a tough year for Life Gate. I want us to get a FRESH pride for our church. I want us to re-realize, so we can better verbalize, what we have here at Life Gate. I want us to get on the ball again inviting, bringing people to church, and be desperately concerned for souls. With that said, I want to ask you a question. What’s the first thing you could say when people ask you ANYTHING about Life Gate Church? Answer: I LOVE MY CHURCH. Should we love our church? Well, Christ certainly does.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as CHRIST ALSO LOVED THE CHURCH, and gave himself for it

Jesus loved the church the way a man should love his wife. In fact, Christ died – sacrificed himself– for the church. We too, should love the church. However, sadly, too frequently, we “beat” the wife of Christ, the church, instead of loving her. We ignore the church sometimes as spouses ignore one another even though they love each other.
