Kingdom of God Will Come When sermon video. Jesus told his disciples, I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God. The kingdom will come when? Either there are two-thousand year old men walking around, or Jesus came again bringing the kingdom of God. Did some of those standing there that day live to see Jesus come again in his glory? Did we miss the second coming of Christ? What does this mean?

Luke 9:26-27 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when HE COMES in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, SOME WHO ARE STANDING HERE WILL NOT TASTE DEATH BEFORE THEY SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”

Either there are some two-thousand year old men walking around, or Jesus came again bringing the kingdom of God. Did some of those standing there that day live to see Jesus come again in his glory? Did we miss the second coming of Christ? What does this mean? Let’s read the passage in context and see if we can understand it.

Luke 9:18-20 Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, “WHO DO THE CROWDS SAY I AM?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life.” “BUT WHAT ABOUT YOU?” HE ASKED. “WHO DO YOU SAY I AM?” Peter answered, “The Christ of God.” (continue sermon notes)
