Y2k Should Be Why sermon video

Y2k Should Be Why sermon video. Remember Y2K? Remember when the ‘Y’ year (2000)? Remember when the clock ticked from 1999 to 2000 everything was going to explode? Remember when those speaking doom and gloom were riding the Y2K wave selling their books and speaking lies? Remember it didn’t happen? Then why do people continue to listen to those people?

Sermon Notes

Y2k Should Be Why sermon video

This sermon was preached in 1999 just before the turn of the century and millennia. At the time there was a scare about the world was going to blow up. Computer glitches were going cause all the nuclear weapons to detonate. People were literally storing food and digging/building nuclear caves. We were in a long study of the Book of Revelation. I was telling everyone there was nothing to the scare. This was the context when this sermon was shared. Of course, nothing happened. Though this was preached back then, the principles exist today. There always have been and always will be doom and groomers wanting the world to blow up. It won’t happen. Now for the sermon notes.

I thought it would be a good time to talk a little about the year 2000 and the Y2k computer bug.
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

I say the same to us.
