From That You May Know the Certainty message (Luke 1:1-4)

How many of us would be honest enough to say that some of the things we have been taught about Jesus are a little difficult to believe, i.e. virgin birth, resurrection? Luke wrote his gospel that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught. But also, we’ve been taught some things that are not accurate. Luke’s goal is to so we may know the certainty of the things we’ve been taught. It’s much easier to believe and tell others about things when we ourselves know the certainty of them.

There are four books about the gospel – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. There is only one gospel, but these four different men wrote from their unique angles of perspective. Each is a biographical sketch of the life of Jesus Christ. Nothing, no other writings had the effect on the world as these writings had. They changed the world by changing mankind. They changed my life. They changed your life, be you a Christian or not, by their influence on society.
