Dealing With False Teachers. Dealing With False Teachers. In 1 Timothy Apostle Paul instructs on how a person “ought to conduct himself in the household of God.” He wrote on many problems a church has – strange doctrines, calling, prayer, women, leadership, apostacy, and groups in the church.

(This is a very short teaching. (Something went wrong with the recording device, but it was good so we kept what we could.)

1 Timothy 3:14-15

14 I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you before long;
15 but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the
household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.

1 Timothy 1:3-5

3 As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct
certain men not to teach strange doctrines,
4 nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than
furthering the administration of God which is by faith.
5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith

1 Timothy 6:3-5

3 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus
Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness,
4 he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and
disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions,
5 and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that
godliness is a means of gain.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
