Unleashing Potential – How to Create Your World with Words

Create Your World audio and notes. Your words create your world in which you live. We learn this principle from God who created his world with his words. God created the world he wanted using his words. He kept speaking to his world until he made his world excellent in every way. This same principle is true today. Your words create your world and continue to create it every day.

Scriptures: Proverbs 18:21, Genesis 1:3-26,  Genesis 1:31, Matthew 12:37, Proverbs 6:2, Amos 3:3, Romans 8:37, Psalms 37:4, Deuteronomy 28:13, Philippians 4:13, Psalms 34:19, Ephesians 6:10, Psalms 5:12, Deuteronomy 28:2, 3 John 1:2, Psalms 1:3, Romans 10:9-10, Ezekiel 37:3-6

I want to talk for the next few weeks about the power of words. People do not understand the power our words carry. Either words carry God’s life-changing constructive power, or they can carry the enemy’s death and destructive power.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

(Amplified) Proverbs 18:20-21 A man’s self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil]. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

Words we speak affect our entire being (body soul and spirit). We experience the consequences of talking. The consequences are death and life. Words are powerful.

We use words to accuse a person or encourage a person. We use words to make people laugh or make people cry, and we use words to bring healing or hurt. Also, we use words to teach truth or tell lies. We use words to bless or curse. We use words to create gossip or to stop gossip. Your words will bring you victory in life or your words will bring you defeat.

WORDS CREATE YOUR WORLD in which you live.

Words affect us all. A blonde went to a Broadway show and after listening to a ventriloquist go through his routine of dumb-blond jokes the blonde jumps up screaming obscenities, blaming the man for the way she was treated at work and presented in the media. The ventriloquist began to apologize. The blonde then looked at him and said, “Look, you stay out of this. I am not talking to you. I’m talking to that idiot on your knee.” No matter who you are, a literal dummy or a very intelligent person, words affect you and others.

Words create your world in which you live. We learn this principle from God who created his world with his words.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (first day) Genesis 1:3

And God said… (second day) Genesis 1:6

Genesis 1:9 And God said…

Genesis 1:11 And God said… (third day)

And God said… (fourth day) Genesis 1:14

And God said… (fifth day) Genesis 1:20

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness . . . (sixth day)

(NLT) Genesis 1:31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was excellent in every way. This all happened on the sixth day.

God created the world he wanted by his words. He kept speaking to it until he made his world excellent in every way.

This same principle is true today. You created the world in which you live and you continue to create your world every day.

God spoke to his world every day. You must learn to speak correctly to your world every day if you want to live excellent in every way.

Let me show you quickly how this works. How many have ever seen someone (or perhaps you were the someone) become angry and suddenly a river of words create a bad situation – a deluge? People lose their jobs, friends, marriages, and even their very lives because of words. There are consequences – fruit – we eat if we use words incorrectly. People can create a world of woes in which they must live. The same is true if we speak correctly, or speak God’s words. We can create a world excellent in every way. You create your world with your words.

How many truly believe the words we speak have a tremendous amount to do with the lives we live?

WORDS DETERMINE OUR FUTURES AND OUR FATES.

Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

(NLT) The words you say now reflect your fate then; either you will be justified by them or you will be condemned.

(Message Bible) Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.

Jesus said words have the power to set the course of our lives.

WE WILL NEVER RISE ANY HIGHER IN LIFE THAN THE WORDS COMING OUT OUR MOUTHS.

If you say you cannot then, you never will. If you say you do not have what it takes, then you have lost the battle before you began, and if you say nothing good ever happens to you, then nothing good will happen to you. A person cannot talk defeat and expect to live in victory. You cannot talk sickness and expect to live in health, and you cannot talk poverty and expect to be wealthy. and you are creating your world with your words.

YOU CAN SPEAK THE ENEMY’S WORDS OF DAMNATION, OR SPEAK GOD’S LIFE-GIVING WORDS.

How many Christ followers are guilty of saying things like, “I’ll never get out of this mess.” “My mate will never change.” “I will never be happy.” “I will never break this addiction.” Or, “I will never lose this weight.” “I will never get the promotion.” Those kinds of negative words will never create the excellent world you deserve. They snare us and take us to a void world.

Proverbs 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

Words hold us captive in life. Words from our own mouths snare us. If you want things to change then you must begin by changing the things you are saying.

You must learn to agree with God and speak his words over your life.

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

My point is if you want God to walk with you then you must agree with what he has to say about you. I want to give us several things the Lord says about you.

Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

You cannot go around with your head down all depressed and defeated when God says you are more than a conqueror. You must agree with God.

Psalms 37:4 Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

You cannot go around saying your dreams will never happen when God says if you delight yourself in the Lord he will give you the desires of your heart. We must agree with God!

Deuteronomy 28:13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail… you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

God says you are on top of life, not on bottom.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

God says there is nothing you cannot do.

Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

No matter what trouble you have, God will deliver you. Your confession should be, “My best days are right out in front of me.” We must agree with God.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

God has armor on you to make you victorious.

Psalms 5:12 For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

The favor of the Lord causes people to want to help you. Realize you have the favor of the Lord.

His blessing will overtake me. We must agree.

Deuteronomy 28:2  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

Say, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper. God will bring the victory for me.” We must agree.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.

Speak prosperity to your finances and health to your body. This is what God wants for you.

3 John 1:2  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

God is not mad at you. Speak prosperity to your business, job, and family. Agree with God.

Psalms 1:3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Christ’s followers must get their mouths going in the right direction if you are going to create your world of excellence in which to live. Speak it every day and day by day you create your world excellent in every way.

DID YOU KNOW GOD NEVER ONCE TELLS US TO GO AROUND DESCRIBING ALL OUR NEGATIVE CIRCUMSTANCES? The Bible never instructs us to talk about how badly life is treating us. Why is this? Why would God not tell us to talk about how bad things are going? It is because we should never verbalize bad things.

I know sometimes we need to talk so people can pray with us, etc. However, it does not mean you need to come home every day and get on the phone and tell your best friend how bad things are for you. Instead, begin to speak the word of the Lord to it.

SOMETIMES IT FEELS GOOD TO THE FLESH to mope around with a “poor o me” attitude, but this is a trick of the enemy.

WE ARE TO PROPHECY OUR FUTURES.

The key is to put God’s words in your mouth. They create an excellent world.

Dare to speak those words of faith, especially in your darkest times. It is what God did. Out of the void and darkness, God spoke the worlds into existence. Something supernatural happens when you begin to speak God’s words out of your mouth.

Don’t dare go around saying negative and critical things about yourself. I encourage you to begin speaking blessings over your life. Speak abundance over your family. Speak health over your body, and speak supernatural increase over your finances. Find some scriptures with which you can agree and walk with God in agreement. Create your world with your words.

WE ARE TO SPEAK – CONFESS – THE SCRIPTURES, not only believe them.

Romans 10:9  That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:10  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

It is the confessions – speaking – making things happen. We have no problem believing when it comes to salvation. It is just as true every day for our lives because salvation is every day of our lives.

When God created the universe, he did not only “believe” it and it happened. He did not just think about it. He did not imagine it. However he spoke and when he spoke it, things began to change. It is the same way with you. You must give life to your belief by speaking it out. You prophesy your future when you do this.

In Ezekiel 37 there is a very interesting story. The prophet Ezekiel saw a vision of a valley of old dry human bones. God asked Ezekiel a question.

Ezekiel 37:3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “O Sovereign LORD, you alone know.”

Some of you are going through a dry and dead time. We all have at some point. You look and you see a valley – a low place – of dead dry dreams. It seems impossible for it to live again. Can it live?

God told Ezekiel to do something.

Ezekiel 37:4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!

God told Ezekiel to prophesy to dry, brittle, dead bones. God told Ezekiel to prophesy to an impossible situation. Some of you today are facing situations that seem impossible in the natural. Maybe your marriage seems impossible. Maybe it seems impossible for your child to serve God. It may seem impossible for you to get out of debt. It seems impossible for your business to succeed. Maybe it seems impossible for you to be happy again. You may be looking at a valley of dry, dead bones just as Ezekiel did. God is saying the same thing to you that he said to Ezekiel. Prophesy to those dead bones.

Ezekiel 37:4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!

Ezekiel was to say, “Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!” He was not to give his thoughts on the situation. He was not to speak the opinion of his friends. So, he did not say listen to my doctor’s report or my counselor’s advice. No. He said, “Bones, you hear what the word of God says.”

Ezekiel 37:5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.

Ezekiel 37:6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

What does the Sovereign Lord say to your valley? Find some scriptures you can agree with and tell your situation what the Sovereign Lord has to say. Create your world with your words.

As Ezekiel was prophesying, look what happened.

Ezekiel 37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.

When you begin to speak the word of the Sovereign Lord, things will begin to come together.

The Bible says the bones came together and flesh came on the bones, but there was no breath. God told Ezekiel to call breath forth.

Ezekiel 37:9 Then he said to me, Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, This is what the Sovereign LORD says . . .

We are not finished speaking to it until it is excellent in every way. We do not stop speaking to it until we have the world we desire. Many times, I see people get so far along and then stop. Do not stop. We need to prophesy to it until it lives.

ALL THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE ONE MAN SPOKE THE WORD OF THE SOVEREIGN LORD. If you will dare to begin putting God’s word into your mouth, God will bring alive what seems to be dead. He will fix your impossible situation for you just as he did for Ezekiel. Create your world with your words.

Some people give up on their dreams. They go through a valley of dead bones. I want to stir you today. Get a new vision for victory. If God can make dead bones come to life, surely God can make your dreams happen.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

What are you eating? The enemy is after our words. He wants us to speak death. Instead, speak life. If we will stop having a poor mouth, we will stop having a poor life.

If you are not happy, begin calling yourself happy, and if your child is not serving God, begin calling your child into the kingdom. Speak life to your world.

2 Corinthians 4:13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak,

The spirit of faith is in your words. Your words release the power of faith to create your world.

Do not use words to describe your negative situation. Use words to change your situation. Stop talking about how you are and begin talking about how you want to be. Line your words up with God’s words.

Stop saying my boss does not like me and I never will go anywhere in this company. Begin saying, “I do have God’s favor upon me. I have something good to offer this company.” Use some wisdom. Do not be grabbing your boss around the neck saying, “I do have favor with you. You will give me a raise.” Do not be obnoxious. Do it on the way to work in your car, but release God’s word into your atmosphere.

Say, Father, thank you I do have a happy home. My mate and I do love each other. We are going to live our days together in happiness and unity. The enemy wants you to talk about how bad your mate is. Stop giving a bad report about your husband. Say he is changing for the good. He loves me. He is becoming more generous, and he is even getting better-looking. Then watch how the valley of dead bones will begin coming together.

I am confident this one thing keeps so many people from experiencing an excellent world.

The more you talk about and magnify your problems, the bigger your problems become. The more you magnify the Lord, the bigger he becomes and the smaller your problems become.

If you begin to see yourself as God sees you and begin speaking the word of God to your world, your situation will turn around. Prophesy to your future. Prophesy to your dreams and make them come alive. Use your words to bring life and victory. Create your world using your words.
