Call Your Husband Fathers Day sermon video. From and email: Fathers day is a tough day for some of us. Not only those who lost their Fathers through death suffered. There are some of us who suffer because our Fathers live, and yet remain dead to us. While I try to focus on the positive aspects of Fathers day, it is difficult to do this when I have a Father living less than 10 miles away who may as well be millions away. Fathers day causes a sense of dread to well up in me. I dread going to see my natural Father… Husband, don’t let this be you.

Call Your Husband Fathers Day sermon video

Scriptures: John 4:28-29, John 4:15-16, John 4:17-18, 1 Kings 14:22, Nehemiah 9:2, Matthew 1:19, Luke 2:41-42, John 4:20, 23-24, John 4:27-30

One day Jesus met this Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well. He immediately began reaching out to her by simply asking for a drink of water. It surprised the woman that a Jewish man would speak to her. Jesus turned the conversation from natural water to spiritual living water that Jesus offered. Jesus told the woman that she could drink living water and never thirst again.

I am going to show you that verse, but it’s not only that verse that I want us to see as much as I want us to see what Jesus said next and I do mean next.

John 4:15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”

John 4:16 He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”

Jesus abruptly changed the subject, OR DID HE? Too often when we are reading the Bible we miss important points thinking that the subject changed. When you hit something like this abrupt change, let it scream at you and allow it to say, “Wait a minute. There is more here.” The woman wanted salvation. Jesus would not abruptly change the subject. This woman’s living water concerned her husband. GO, CALL YOUR HUSBAND… (continue sermon notes)
