Live to Give – sermon video audio notes

Keith Green wrote a song titled ‘Make My Life A Prayer To You.’ A line in the lyrics says, ‘It’s so hard to see when my eyes are on me.’ When you become upset or worried what is it you are focused on? What is your emphasis? Who are you thinking about? Usually, we are thinking about ‘ME.’ We are thinking about ourselves. We are caught up in ‘ME.’ It’s a certain formula for depression and discouragement. It’s in the Live To Give – sermon series.

Peanuts Coconut Blessing and Money – sermon video audio notes

There is a story saying in Africa and India, the natives use a technique to catch monkeys. They hollow out one end of a coconut and put peanuts in. The monkey puts his hand in the coconut making a fist to grab the peanuts, but is trapped. The natives will capture the monkey as the monkey will not release the peanuts captured by selfishness. Stuff traps us – peanuts – and stops us from experiencing the freedom we want. It’s in the Live To Give – sermon series.

Marriage Give What They Need, Not What I Need – sermon video audio notes

Marriage Give What They Need, Not What I Need. We all have different kinds of needs. This is especially true between men and women. For the most part, men are more logical and women are more emotional. Men want to know only the facts. Women want all the details. Women need conversation. Men are not usually this way. One of the biggest mistakes we make is trying to give our spouses and friends what we need instead of giving what they need. It’s in the Live To Give – sermon series.

Wife Men Give What They Need pt 2 – sermon video audio notes

Wife Men Give What They Need – It’s sad to run across people who have been married forty years but don’t know each other. They share the same bed, same children, same checkbook, but are actually strangers. They never communicate. It’s all surface. They never realize how the lack of communication affects every area of their relationship. Some of the loneliest people in the world are people who have been married for years and years. It’s in the Live To Give – sermon series.
