Resurrection Power Easter Sermon Audio. Resurrection power is not only a past event. Neither is it a future event. Resurrection power is a person. Jesus told Mary He was it and it lives in us now. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you and me.
We do things in church mostly for two reasons – to please people and to please Jesus. Both of those are Scriptural, but both will eventually play out. As Jesus is the resurrection we must be something. We can’t pray only to please people or only to please Jesus. We must pray because we are pray-ers. Give because we are givers. We must praise because we are praise-ers. We will be resurrected because we are resurrection power.

Matthew 28:1-8
1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
John 11:23-26
23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
