Many people have the gifts of the Spirit but have never understood the gifts of the Spirit. People have the gifts of the Spirit but do not know how to operate them. 2. Remove misunderstandings. Much of what we identify as spiritual is from watching someone who we’ve considered spiritual. This has led to much misunderstanding. 3. Establish Scriptural guidelines. Seducing spirits means spirits that lead us into deception. We are to become the fulness of Christ. We are to say what He says, know what He knows, and do what He does – this demands the nine gifts of the Spirit.

Spiritual gifts are always subject to the written word of God. They are always subject to the oversight ministry of the church. Flowing in the gifts is yielding a person’s members, i.e. tongue. Spiritual gifts are always governed by love. They are for edification or building up the body of Christ.

Love is not a word. Love is a person. Also, love is not a feeling or an emotion. When we look at Jesus we see love. As the Christ in us comes forth love comes forth. Does God want us to feel love or be love? Sometimes it’s difficult to remember the New Commandment Jesus gave us, i.e. John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

No one in the Scriptures went into unconscious stupors when manifesting the gifts. Jesus, apostles, everyone flowed for edification.

Word Of Knowledge is revelation knowledge the person has no way of knowing. Also, the Word of Knowledge is a “spiritual gift” given by the Spirit of God to minister to a person, not condemn the person or judge the person. Moreover, all believers have this gift in different degrees. Some, of course, have it to a greater level than others.

This gift is given to recognize and identify false spirits or the spirit of antichrist. This spirit was and is in the world or the world system.

Jesus told us it is more blessed to give than receive. However, we mostly want to get rather than give. Tongues is a selfish gift. Tongues is mostly used to minister to ourselves, but we need to move into the other gifts which are the giving gifts, unselfish servant attitude gifts.

What is the frame of mind we are to have toward spiritual gifts? Scriptures teach us the gifts are to express every time we gather. Also, Scriptures teach each of us have gifts given to us by the Spirit, and we each should activate them.
