We go to school to equip ourselves to earn money. Additionally, we spend forty or more years of our adult lives earning it. Also, we invest countless hours and thoughts to decide how to handle it. Another thing is that we walk through houses, stores, and car dealerships, look through catalogs, and surf the web to decide how we will spend it. Further, we worry we won’t have enough of it. Moreover, we dream and scheme to figure out ways to acquire more of it.
Arguments over it are a major cause of marriage disintegration, business partnership breakups, and government collapse. Despair over losing it has led to suicides. The obsession with getting it is the cause of many of society’s crimes. It’s the root of evil. Some call it the means for great good, but we will all agree that we cannot ignore the importance of money.
