Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention: Revelation 9:13 reveals that when prayers rise from the horns of the golden altar—symbolic of earnest, covenantal prayer—God responds by commissioning angels to act on behalf of His people. This heavenly intervention is triggered by the prayers of the saints, demonstrating that persistent, scripturally grounded prayer can unleash angelic forces to accomplish God’s will, bring judgment, and advance His kingdom in the world.

Teaching Scriptures

This section discusses the challenges modern readers face when interpreting the book of Revelation. Unlike the first-century church, which was deeply familiar with Jewish traditions and the symbolic language of the New Testament, contemporary Christians often lack this background, making the meanings of Revelation less obvious. I liken this to learning a new language, emphasizing that understanding Revelation requires immersion in the specific terminology and context of the early church.

I assert that, contrary to popular belief, Revelation is actually a simple book, though it may take years of study to appreciate its simplicity. The main obstacle, I argue, is a lack of biblical literacy, particularly regarding Old Testament symbolism such as the feasts of Israel. I encourage personal study and engagement with the text, rather than relying solely on others to interpret it, likening this process to doing homework or taking tests in school, which fosters genuine understanding.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

I also address common misconceptions, particularly the idea that Revelation predicts the total destruction of the world. It is pointed out that world destruction contradicts other scriptural promises about God’s people reigning on earth forever. Instead, I suggest that Revelation contains deeper truths that require careful study and reflection. I express a desire to regularly explore the book, uncovering its insights piece by piece, so that the congregation can gradually assemble a fuller understanding.

I introduce the symbol of the eagle in Revelation, explaining that it has both positive and negative connotations in scripture. On the one hand, the eagle represents God’s covenant protection and salvation, as seen in passages such as Deuteronomy and Exodus. On the other hand, it also symbolizes destruction and judgment, as illustrated in Job, Hosea, and Habakkuk. The dual nature of the eagle serves as a prophetic warning, particularly to Israel, and understanding this symbolism is key to grasping the broader message of Revelation.

Significance of the Eagle in Revelation

Revelation 8:13

And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

(NIV) Revelation 8:13

As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!”

The literal translation is “angel eagle.” John links to the fourth chapter, where he enters the throne room and sees four living creatures. One of them has the face of an eagle? This particular creature is over these trumpets. Here he’s talking about that eagle being.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

What we have is an eagle, and we need to understand its significance in relation to the book of Revelation. If we don’t understand an eagle, we would never understand what the Apostle John is trying to tell us here. So, we’re going to look and see what an eagle is doing here.

Protection

Deuteronomy 32:9-12

9 For the LORD’s portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.

What we’re seeing here is that the eagle is a covenant symbol, hovering over the people of God, the covenant people of God. He hovers over you, and he hovers over me.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Exodus 19:4

Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.

The eagle is associated with salvation, protection, help, and covering. That’s the positive aspect of the eagle. In the book of Revelation, we see something else.

Job 39:27-30

27 Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?
28 She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.
29 From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
30 Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

The eagle has two sides. One is salvation, the other is destruction. Eagles are a powerful bird with a powerful beak. It can tear flesh, it can rip. Not only is protection associated with the eagle, but we also see that blood and flesh are associated with the eagle.

Do you see the destructive force of the eagle? So we have two sides of the eagle. One is positive and salvation is associated with it, but the other is destruction and the tearing and ripping of flesh. That’s a different aspect of an eagle.

Eagles are prophetic warnings to Israel. Let me show you this because this is really what we’re getting into in the book of Revelation.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Judgment

Deuteronomy 28:49

The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;

Who is the Lord talking to through Moses? He’s talking to the nation of Israel. And who’s he going to bring? An eagle. Something with a force, with the power, with the viciousness of a flesh-tearing, blood-seeking eagle.

Also see Jeremiah 4:13, which discusses the prophetic warnings to Israel about the eagle. Also Lamentations 4:19. And I’m just going to skip over these.

Hosea 8:1

Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.

He comes as what? As an eagle.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Habakkuk 1:8-9

8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.
9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.

Now we know that the eagle hovers over the covenant people of God and, in a protective way, broods over the chicks. But what else are we seeing about the eagle? There is a symbolic resemblance to the eagle of destruction and judgment. And that’s what we find in the book of Revelation. And not only there, but also some of the things that Jesus said.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Matthew 24:28

For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

We see the eagle is a symbol in this particular verse of the destruction of a nation. Tell me, without me having to tell you, what nation will the eagle destroy? Natural Israel. We saw scripture after scripture after scripture after scripture. Was natural Israel destroyed? Yes, it was. For 13 centuries, if I’m not mistaken, it was a nation. Then, one day, it was no more. In 1948, it regained its independence as a nation. That is crucial to understanding what the Lord is telling us in Matthew 24. It’s understanding these principles about the eagle and these things of the Word of God that we’ve really been negligent about.

What you’re seeing me do is look into the Old Testament and find what the New Testament is telling us. Write this one down. Deuteronomy 28, verses 25, 26, and 49. That takes you right into the very heart of the curse. Those who are cursed by the law will be devoured by the fouls of the air. Proverbs chapter 30, verse 17. Jeremiah 8, 33; 16:3-4; 19:7; 34:18-20. And here we are in Ezekiel 39.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Ezekiel 39:17-20

17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Who sacrificed? The Lord sacrificed. He said, “That I do sacrifice for you.” The Lord is going to sacrifice a sacrifice to give the fouls of the air. Even a great sacrifice.

The curse includes being devoured by the fowls of the air. Now, does that sound familiar to what we are studying? Does that passage of Scripture remind you of any particular book of the Bible or any particular passage of Scripture? It did me.

Revelation 19:17-18

17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

I’m really talking about prayer. I wanted to get in here and do a little work in the book of Revelation because it’s really studious, and it’s also tiring to the flesh to study the book of Revelation because there is so much Scripture work that’s involved in it. Revelation 19, verse 17.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

So the fowls of the air, the eagle in one of its aspects, becomes a judgment symbol. The eagle is a judgment symbol in the book of Revelation that we’re examining right now.

Luke 19:41-44

41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

I believe that the book of Revelation was primarily written against the covenant-breaking nation of Israel. I believe that it’s a covenant judgment upon an apostate nation. The Revelation can be the judgment upon any nation that becomes so apostate, but I believe that the book of Revelation, written by the Apostle John, was a prophecy to the literal nation of Israel. What other nation could you possibly suggest to me? Who else could perhaps be bigger covenant-breakers than the nation of Israel? Was there one? What the nation of Israel did was refuse to accept the Messiah.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

The Lord Jesus Christ provided them with the blood of the Messiah. They refused that blood. If they refused that blood, there would be no more. There is then no more atonement for sin. By refusing the blood of Jesus and the Messiah, the Christ, then they broke covenant. What happens to the nation of Israel when they break covenant? What did God warn them in Deuteronomy 27 and 28? Curse. And part of that curse was the files of the air would devour them. Part of that curse was that they would totally and utterly be destroyed, were they? We’re coming back to Revelation.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

What city? Jerusalem. And he wept over it. The apostate Israel broke the covenant. That brought judgment. When you refuse the blood of Jesus Christ, you bring judgment upon yourselves. If anyone refuses the blood of Jesus Christ, they’re going to get the fouls of the air judgment on them. That might not mean they literally get devoured by fouls, but judgment comes.

Luke 21:20-24

20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

For these are the days of what? Vengeance. And vengeance is mine, I shall repay, saith the Lord. For these are the days of vengeance, and all things which are within may be fulfilled. What people? Us or those people that he was prophesying to on that day. That people. This was prophesied to a Jerusalem that Rome destroyed in A.D. 70.

If you didn’t understand the eagle, you wouldn’t understand any of that. The eagle is a symbol of judgment as well as protection. Did Jesus prophesy the destruction of the temple, and of Jerusalem, and of the nation of Israel? Did it happen? Yes. You don’t have to wait on that. I’ve said before that Matthew 24 has already taken place.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Matthew 12:41-45

41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Jesus talked about the judgment of a generation. What generation? Our generation or that generation? That generation. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation and shall condemn it. When Jesus says, “This generation,” he’s speaking about the generation he’s addressing.

Jesus went from that thought of the judgment of the nation of Israel and how the people of Nineveh are going to stand up, and the queen of Sheba is going to stand up and judge that nation and that generation. In the same context, he immediately expresses this thought of unclean spirits. I’m sure that’s true for a person, but even so shall it also be with that wicked generation. It was that generation to which Jesus was prophesying.

And he says, we’ve come in, we’ve swept it, we’ve cleaned it, we’ve got the spirits gone, we’ve got you straightened up, we’ve got the kingdom set up and established, and if you don’t maintain it, they’re going to come back and it’s going to be worse than it ever was.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Josephus historically recorded how when Rome beseiged Jerusalem, inside the city men were raping women, stealing food, slaying people, stealing money, it was seven times worse than it ever was before. But what I want you to see is that what he’s talking about here is how perverted and wicked that generation was going to get. Do you see that?

Revelation 9:1-6

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

The bottomless pit, the abyss, represents the farthest place from the presence of God one can be. It’s where the chained angels are held. It’s where the evil spirits are bound in chains, the abyss, the furthest place from the presence of God.

We often hear about the mark of the beast, but there’s another mark you really need to understand and be aware of. It’s the mark of the Lord. How many understand that demons can’t hurt you? They can mess with you, but they can’t hurt you. The nation of Israel got to a place of being seven times worse. Jesus Christ went into the nation, He swept it, He cleaned it, He garnished it, Him and His ministry. God destroyed it, and the reason it was destroyed is that it became overwhelmingly wicked. It became a habitation of a demonic locust.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

I did all of that to convey to you a thought about prayer that I want to share with you. If you look at verse 13 in Chapter 9 of Revelation, I would like to discuss prayer. I know we’re reviewing a lot of Scripture, and we still have a bit more to cover, but it will be worth it to you if you can stick with me. It’s going to help us. It’s going to give us a liberty to do something that your Spirit wants you to do. And I think it’s going to help our fellowship see more accomplished in the realm of prayer.

Four Horns of the Golden Altar

Prayer

Revelation 9:13

13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

Again, as I mentioned, if you don’t understand the Old Testament, there is absolutely no way you’ll know what John’s talking about. If you don’t know what the Golden Altar is, if you don’t know what those horns are, you’re either going to have to wait till somebody interprets it for you, or you’re going to have to skip over and go to the next verse. There is so much in the Old Testament that we need to learn and bring into the light of the New Testament so that we can interpret Scripture correctly. Let’s look and see what this altar is.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Exodus 30:1-2, 6-9

1 And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of shittim wood shalt thou make it.
2 A cubit shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof; foursquare shall it be: and two cubits shall be the height thereof: the horns thereof shall be of the same.

6 And thou shalt put it before the vail that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.
7 And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.
8 And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations.
9 Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

What kind of altar was this? Altar of incense. In the outer court, they had the brazen altar and the labor bowl. In the inner court, they had your candlesticks, showbread table, altar of incense, the veil, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord of the whole earth was in the Holy of Holies. This was the approach to God. This was the shekinah glory. The sunlight, natural light, was in the outer court. The spiritual light from the altar lamps was in the inner court, and God is light.

John said he heard a voice coming out of the horns of the altar of incense. This is a picture of what Moses was shown – the real altar and the real tabernacle of Moses. He was given a vision of it. And this is why he built this one. John heard God speaking from this altar of incense. That’s what John’s telling us. But hat sense does that make? You’ve got to know what incense is. Am I confusing you or helping you?

King David said, Lord, I cry unto thee, make haste unto me, give ear unto my voice when I cry unto thee. Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense. And the lifting up of my hands is the evening sacrifice. What is incense? Prayer. You could also say, rather than the altar of incense, this is the altar of prayer.

Now, Revelation 9 again. See how simple the book of Revelation is? It’s about understanding the types and connecting with the symbols.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Revelation 9:13-15

13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

The Lord is hearing the prayers of the saints and therefore is giving directions to the angels in verse 14, instructing the sixth angel. Now, I don’t know if you caught what I just said or not. God is responding to the prayers of the saints. Do you see that? It is coming from behind this altar, from the horns. The Lord responds to the prayers of people, and then what does He do? He released the four angels bound in the Euphrates to do what? Slay the third part of men, or bring judgment upon a third part of men.

Why would God do that? They rejected the blood of Jesus Christ, and as we’ve seen, judgment comes when people reject Christ. Judgment always comes to those who reject the blood of Jesus Christ. They broke the covenant.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Judgment is a direct answer to the prayers of the saints. That’s what John’s saying. It’s from this altar of incense. Judgment comes out of these horns of this altar of incense, this altar of prayer, in response to prayer. These imprecatory prayers that the first church prayed brought judgment upon the enemies of the kingdom of God. I believe that the purpose of prayer is to do away with the enemies of the kingdom of God.

I looked up imprecatory. It means this. To invoke by prayer evil upon to curse. Someone says, “I’ve been following you now for about two years, buddy, but now you’re a little deep on me here. You’re really getting heavy.” I’m going to show you in the Scriptures that the New Testament church is missing it in its prayer line. God’s actions proceed from this altar of prayer.

God’s command to His angels is in response to the prayers of His people spoken from the horns of the golden altar of incense. His responses are in direct correlation with the prayers of His saints. I believe that’s what the book of Revelation is basically about: a covenant-breaking people whom God judged.

Do we believe that God is ready to hear and willing to answer the prayers of His people? I’m going to show you the way King David prayed.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Acts 13:22

And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

We readily recognize the part that says, ‘the man after my own heart.’ But there’s more to David than that. He says he will fulfill all of my will. David is not only a man after God’s own heart, but he’s also going to fulfill all of God’s will.

David’s prayer life.

Psalms 5:10

Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

Would you want David to pray for you?

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Psalms 10:15-15

15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
16 The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.

Psalms 35:1-8

1 Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
3 Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
4 Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

6 Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.
7 For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.
8 Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

Psalms 59:12-13

12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
13 Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

Psalms 69:22-28

22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.
24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.
25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

Am I reading the Psalms of a man after God’s own heart? Am I reading the Psalms in the prayer life of a man who claims to want to do all of God’s will?

Psalms 83:13-18

13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

What do you think about that? What’s your response? We’re seeing that there’s something here, aren’t we? I know that there’s a part of you that says, hey, I don’t know about this, but your Spirit’s going to control us and going to direct us, and it’s going to lead us into all truth. We’re heading into the New Testament, as I also want to illustrate this point using examples from the New Testament. We just don’t know how to pray. That’s why we’re not seeing many results today, because the church is not offering the proper prayers at the altar of incense. How many are kind of baffled and surprised that this much is here?

Psalms 94:1-5

1 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
3 LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
5 They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

Psalms 94:21-23

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
22 But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

Psalms 109:6-

6 Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.
7 When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
8 Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10 Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

11 Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.
12 Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.
13 Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

16 Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.
17 As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.
18 As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
19 Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

20 Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
21 But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name’s sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.
22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
23 I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.
24 My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

25 I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.
26 Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:
27 That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.
28 Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.
29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

Prayer From The Horns: How to Activate Angelic Intervention

I’m doing this because I want us to see that there is something here. And no, I don’t know all the ones, twos, threes of it, but I know that God’s saying something, and I know that to understand the book of Revelation, you’ve got to understand this altar of incense. At the altar of incense, the prayer requested was to destroy. God sent forth from the altar of incense and gave instructions to his angels. When you pray in precatory prayers, He gives instructions to His angels to go forth.

Psalms 137:9-9

8 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

Psalms 139:19-24

19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

God protects us. But we’re to wage war with him against his enemies as well. He comes to war with us against ours. He’s saying, ‘ Hey, come on, let’s get together. ‘ Let’s hate those he hates. Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee?

Psalms 140:6-11

6 I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.
7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
8 Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.

9 As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
11 Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

What do you think about David, the man after God’s own heart? A nice little sweet king came dancing into Israel that day before the Ark of the Covenant, praying imprecatory prayers. Okay.

How do you suppose Jesus prayed for the Pharisees and the Sadducees? What did he say about Jerusalem? Had those Christians not prayed for the destruction of Jerusalem, they would have been in direct violation of the Word of God.

1 Corinthians is in the New Testament. Can we bring all this through the cross? I was studying the Feast of Unleavened Bread. I’ve always known what Paul did in 1 Corinthians. Let’s read it.

Turning Over to Satan

1 Corinthians 5:4-5

4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

What do you think? Is this the New Testament? Paul says, Let Satan stand work on him.

1 Timothy 1:18-20

18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

Pure Bible, pure Bible. Not my doctrine, not anyone’s doctrine. It’s pure Bible.

2 Timothy 4:14-15

14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

Why don’t we see the overthrowing of wickedness today? The church today does not pray in a manner consistent with biblical practices. The first-century church prayed for the destruction of apostate Israel. It was heard of God. The angels were commissioned, and they struck. There’s an apostate world out there. And I believe God’s doing something today. I believe he’s raising up some people who will learn how to pray. We’re going to see. We’re going to see some angels commissioned. They’re going to go forth and do some striking.

Guidelines

Yes, we don’t begin bringing curses on people. That’s not the way you do it. Paul said in 1 Corinthians chapter 5, when you come together, turn such a one over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh. It has to be a body function. We’re a body. We are him. I believe we can fight some battles right here in this city and win some battles for Jesus. Do you think so?
