How many believe we need a desire to pray? A problem with us praying is the lack of desire. If we only had a desire to pray then we’d pray much more.
The life of Jesus Christ was a life of miracles mixed with prayer. He’d pray, work miracles, and then go pray.
Luke 11:1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
The request by one of his disciples was “Lord, teach us to pray. ” The request was not “Lord, teach us HOW TO pray.” We don’t need prayer mechanics. We need a desire to pray. Did you know we need TO be taught to pray, not HOW to pray?
Did the disciples learn to pray? Yes, they did. The entire Book of Acts is saturated with how the disciples learned to pray.
