Temperament – Lion Temperament Teaching Scriptures

Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, which is the Root of David. He prevails. Jesus is strong and fearless. We readily see Jesus in the scriptures utilizing His lion temperament.

Lion temperaments are leaders. For example, David was a great leader. Also, Lion temperaments are warriors prevailing over enemies. This temperament fears nothing. For instance, David had no fear of Goliath. There is a forcefulness in their character. Consequently, they intimidate. When lion temperaments project Christ, we come into contact with how strong Jesus is, how fearless Jesus is, and how bold Jesus is.

Scriptures

  1. THE LION TEMPERAMENT IS BOLD

Proverbs 28:1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

The lion temperament is direct and can be frequently offensive. The lion temperament views to continue talking about a situation as a waste of time. Hence, once discovering the problem, and a plan is devised, there is no reason to continue discussing it. They desire to implement and try the plan now.

  1. THE LION TEMPERAMENT IS INTIMIDATING

Amos 3:8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?
Numbers 24:9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up?

Be prepared for a roar when confronting a lion temperament. Something about confrontation stirs aggressiveness within this temperament. Their face will contort as the lion temperament crouches to attack. In contrast, it is far better not to confront, but rather, attempt to discuss solutions with the lion temperament.

  1. THE LION TEMPERAMENT IS CONFIDENT

Proverbs 30:30 A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any
Hosea 13:8 …I devour them like a lion…

Lion temperaments do not believe there is anything they cannot do. They turn away from nothing. For this reason, those with a lion temperament do not know their limitations and can get in over their heads. The lion temperament considers problems meat to eat feeling they will devour the problem somehow, or so the lion temperament thinks.

  1. THE LION TEMPERAMENT MUST HAVE CHALLENGES

Job 4:11 The old lion perisheth for lack of prey, and the stout lion’s whelps are scattered abroad.

The lion temperament will perish without a challenge. Furthermore, this person will become dissatisfied and will begin searching for new challenges. They will pull up roots and move their family to find the prey of a challenge.

  1. ONLY WHEN FOCUSED ON A GOAL CAN THE LION TEMPERAMENT BE QUIET AND PATIENT

Genesis 49:9 …he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion.
Numbers 24:9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion…
Psalms 10:9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den…
Psalms 17:12 Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.

The picture these scriptures give is a lion focused on its prey. The lion is quiet and will leave everyone alone but only when focused on its prey. When focused, this temperament does not want to be disturbed. The slightest disruption aggravates the lion temperament. Unlike the ox temperament who thinks nothing is more important than being with a friend different from the eagle temperament who says nothing is more important than details. The man temperament thinks nothing is more important than having fun with people. In contrast, with the lion temperament, nothing is more important than conquering and devouring the goal.

  1. THE SCRIPTURES USE THE IMAGE OF A LION FOR JESUS CHRIST. THE SCRIPTURES USE THE IMAGE OF A LION FOR THE DEVIL.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Lion temperament people are used by the Devil to devour people. However, they are used by Jesus to open the seals of life. It all depends upon the lion temperament’s focus and goals. Lion temperaments are history-makers. Some lion temperaments who have made history: George Patton; Charles Lindbergh; Adolph Hitler; Joseph Stalin; Donald Trump.
The lion temperament can be dangerous to the kingdom of darkness. In contrast, the lion temperament can cause problems for the kingdom of light.
